Nigeria’s emergency workers begin indefinite nationwide strike [PICTURES]

Today, officials of Nigeria’s National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) commenced an indefinite strike

NEMA workers have commenced a nationwide indefinite industrial strike action as directed today Thursday in Abuja by the Trades Union Congress (TUC) and the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria.

The strike action followed the expiration of the agreement signed with the unions by the Minister of Labour and Employment.

The union leaders enjoined the workers at the NEMA headquarters as well as zonal and operational offices to ensure compliance with the directive.
